The minute I open up the box, I was wow. This truck is huge, far bigger than anything I have seen. The paint job is very nicely done and it come with tons of spare parts, so that's a big plus. From the price point, this is a great deal, you get everything from radio, 1/4 scale servo, starter and even a fule bottle. What more can you ask.

This truck is really RTR (Ready To Run), all you need are batteries and fuel. Overall quality of this truck is very durable, having done over 20 crazy jumps, the truck havn't even broken anything. The best part of this truck is the trannsmission, Tamiya called FRAT, which stands for Foward Reverse Automatic Transmission. I am so glad they didn't call it Foward Automatic Reverse Transmission. The tranny works great, there is no need of a 3 channel, it just go reverse the minute to push the backwards trigger on the radio. The tranny is a 2 speed tranny, it shift on it's own. Some people reported of having problem with shifting from first gear to the second gear, it has been working very well with my truck.

So since nothing really breaks, is there a need of aftermarket parts? Yes, you should get a bigger engine head, to kept it cool. If you have some extra cash, also get a 2 needle carb for the engine, so you can fine tune the lower end and high end.

Over all the truck is great, the only downside is the engine at .18 it is really not the most powerful in it's class. Most new trucks are going towards the .21 trend.

Conclusion - Pro:

  • Great Price for what you get
  • Huge Truck with big nice tires
  • 1/4 Scale servo is very powerful
  • Electronic Start works great everytime
  • 2 Speed Automatic Transmission is really a step up in the RC technology
  • Huge Fuel Tank, each run last over 10-15 minutes

Conclusion - Cons:

  • Engine, we need .21!

This truck is great at jumps.
